The boys:

Kolby will be 3 the beginning of April. You would think he was older by the way he talks. He has been carrying on conversations for ever it seems. He pretty much acts and talks like he is 5 though. Has a huge vocabulary, most all good. He is super smart......can count to 15 in English, 6 in Spanish (thanks to Handy Manny:) and knows most all shapes and colors. Knows our address, his birthday and Ryans birthday. Fully potty trained at 2 years old. Much much more.. He loves music and musical instruments. Currently has a guitar, harmonica, recorder and a piano. There were also 2 sets of drums at one point, but oddly have both come up missing..'-) Recently has taken a liking to painting (which I love)....thanks to Grandma (Pama) D. He has a very healthy imagination and uses it often. Though if we would let him he would gladly sit and watch TV and drink juice all day;)) He loves everyone in his life. Especially both Grandmas and his Papa. He is so special to us.

Little Ryan, bless his heart is growing even faster than the first. Over seven months old now and still no teeth. He has had a cold, or many colds most his life. They started at 3 weeks old. This does not stop him from smiling though. He is such a happy little guy....unless it's nap time or time to eat. He's very easy going and lets anyone hold him. He loves his big brother. Stares and laughs at him all the time. Took him a day to learn how to go forward in his walker and now there's no stopping him. He chases the dogs and his brother and is there the second I open the dishwasher, drawers or the fridge. He is very curious. Shoves everything in his mouth and loves his binky...Sits up on his own and really has no desire to try and crawl. Rolls over each direction, but would rather just be cruising in his walker. He is a lot of fun. He's not really into cuddling, so when he lays his head on my shoulder I really try and soak it up. He can't stand to miss anything. He has some hilarious facial expressions and likes to blow raspberry's...I think that's what they are called.

I know the two of them are going to be best buds. Once Kolby learns how to share and Ryan to crawl or walk. Kolby is definitely a little jealous of baby brother, but we try really hard to give him as much attention. I'm sure he actually gets more than Ryan. They are my little loves...:)

Sept 2010

Saturday, February 19, 2011

Hello again. I'll bring you all up to speed on things since my last post which was Sept 2009..
The rest of 2009:
October was Kolby's first real Halloween. He was a pirate and had a blast. The weather was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Found out I was pregnant in October 2009. Ran my second half marathon of the year in October at the Avenue run. Really starting to enjoy running:)
Christmas family gathering was at Tammy's (Kevin's cousin) house that year. There were 3 of us pregnant. Ella, Tonya and myself. (Ella had a little girl in March, Tonya a boy in February and we had little Ryan in July). Rang in the new year with the Hendershots.
2010:
April was Kolby's second birthday. We had a Handy Manny themed party for him. One of his favorite cartoons. My belly was getting pretty big at that point and I still had 3 months to go.
Kevin sold his 2007 Kenworth dump truck and bought a 2000 Peterbilt. Got a really good deal on it and was able to pay off a little debt from the sell of the 07. He has put some time and money into the new one....but enjoys working on stuff so it wasn't too bad. Running like a champ now! Just need some jobs;)
July we were blessed with our second baby boy...Ryan. He was 8lbs 2.5oz and so so beautiful! It was an adjustment for all of us, especially Kolby. Things are much better now. I didn't have any idea how hard it was going to be with a newborn and a 2 year old. Thank goodness I have a wonderfully supportive husband who was there every step of the way.
August we went back to the Oregon Dunes with our four wheelers and friends. My mom and niece came to help with the kids so we could ride. They were a huge help, even though I never wanted to leave the baby.
In September I became an ACE (American Council on Exercise) Certified Group Fitness Instructor. Had to take a test that consisted of 150 multiple choice questions. It was tough.
For Halloween we had Batman and Superman in the house. Cutest superheros ever! Trick or treated in Redway with the Aquarian family.
Thanksgiving and Christmas were both spent out at the Goff's. Kevin came down with the flu on Christmas Eve and was in bed during our family gathering. He was missed:( Kolby was so into the holidays this year...Christmas morning was the best!
Rang in the new year with the Hendershots...again;)
